Event! Inclusive Reads for Inclusive Schools Fall 2022Aug 20, 2022
If you are an educator, you may appreciate the timeliness of this event information. For those who are not, keep hanging onto summer! We do not wish to send anyone back-2-school just yet -- but we want to ensure if you ARE a teacher or school administrator, this easy-to-execute, inclusive school-based (public, private or home-school) event is on your calendar for November 13-19th, 2022.
It is almost that time of year again, when we are connecting with educators around the province of Nova Scotia and beyond to share details about this year's Inclusive Schools Read Nova Scotia - a week long celebration (or an afternoon), of inclusive stories, activities and stigma-breaking education supporting trans inclusion and acceptance in classrooms.
Check out the list below of Classes and Schools registered to date.
We are excited (and relieved) to see the selection of inclusive 2SLGBTQ+ books growing in classrooms around Nova Scotia. It's truly wonderful to see - and it is saving lives. It is impacting acceptance within peers of gender expansive students and it is helping to end stigma associated around gender identity, expression and sexual orientation.
Simply Good Form prides ourselves in creating original and exciting volunteer-based events for young folks, families and educators. Visibility and representation counters isolation and erasure.
